MDU Account Executive (11035)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sell & support all Mediacom services to residential customers of MDU’s (Multiple Dwelling Units) within an assigned territory. Maintain individual minimum PSU sales quotas to help ensure overall success of sales team. May also perform basic installations and service audits.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partners directly with MDU property manager/leasing staff in designated territories to build and maintain positive relationships in to drive maximum product penetration and revenue growth.
• Serves as the primary direct sales & support presence to tenants; identifies and contacts customers moving into MDU and makes sales presentations while monitoring overall penetration rates to keep management informed.
• Maintains minimum PSU (Primary Sales Unit) sales quotas as determined by the Sales Supervisor/Manager through acquiring and retaining customers following company guidelines.
• Attends community or company events interacting with current and potential customers as required; maintain sales literature supplies and/or any basic supplies.
• Attends and participates in all scheduled team meetings; takes part in team sales blitzes, conversions, new releases, and weekend and evening sales events.
• Builds customer loyalty by supporting and resolving customer issues in assigned MDU’s.
• Performs basic installs, upgrades/downgrades, disconnects, audits to services from tap to customer equipment as necessary. Analyze picture quality following installation.
• May climb ladders and other structures; lifts and carries loads up to 70 pounds.
• Facilitates collection on bad debt accounts, picks up and returns customer equipment.
• Completes appropriate paperwork functions as prescribed by system management.
• Works evenings and weekends (including the first weekend of every month when move-in activity is at its peak) to maximize customer contact.
• Maintains job knowledge through completion of on-going training opportunities and attainment of job related certifications, including annual certification renewal/update as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of sales and/or marketing experience preferred. Experience in cable or telecommunications industry highly desired.
• Ability to maintain favorable relations with subscribers, vendors and employees within the service area.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, sales, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
• A neat personal appearance and good decorum.
• Requires aptitude for technical concepts and the use of tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
